Who Am I?

Welcome and thank you for allowing me to introduce myself to you. My name is Barb Hughesian, new owner of the Lose Weight For Life website. First of all, I'm a very lucky gal because I am married to the most wonderful man. Plus I have been blessed with three great children, a very nice son-in-law and two of the most adorable grandsons in the world.

What's My Background?

While I'm not an expert or even a medical professional, I have always had an interest in staying healthy and improving my own health. For many years I worked in a health related field seeing too many examples of disease and poor health and I didn't want that for myself or my family.

In my quest to improve my own health I became an avid student hungry for information, especially about natural health. I have sought out knowledge by reading books and articles, attending lectures, taking on-line courses, doing research and talking with health care professionals. I am currently enrolled in classes to keep furthering my knowledge and to obtain various certifications in the natural health field.

What's My Goal?

You might wonder what this has to do with a weight loss website. Well, I'm glad you asked .... I feel there is a definite connection between nutrition and disease. We all know that obesity can lead to many diseases because the body's organs and systems are just working too hard and they are destined for disease. My goal is to share the information that I'm learning in hopes that it will inspire you to lose weight, get healthy and become all God created you to be.

Did you know the body constantly regenerates itself? In fact it only takes 90 days to replace 100% of the red blood cells in your body and there's not one bone in your body that is over 7 years old! Whether you realize it or not, that's exciting news for anyone that wants to lose weight and improve their health.

What's Next?

In the coming months there will be many new healthy choices in diet and weight loss ideas, tips and suggestions. I invite you to try them out and see which ones work for you. The only one that can figure out your perfect plan for weight loss is you. To lose weight for life will take a lifestyle change and that takes time, so consider this a journey and not a destination. I hope you'll come join me on the journey!
